We live at the end of the earth at the end of the road for a reason. We both became islanders for life at an early age. Wes had been coming to Hatteras Island since before he was born. Spiritually he is an islander. I have always craved isolation, and thought an island would be the most productive place to ensure the time and focus to paint and develop the skills of a potter.

Together we have created an environment helpful to the pursuit of the creative process.

Learning keeps us alive. We have a little shop on the main highway where we sell the things we create. You will always find something new here. Our curiosity is always guiding us to discover new ideas and challenges.

We make relief tiles, ornaments,stoneware that is functional, mugs, bowls, plates, vases, electric fired and wood fired. Rhonda paints. Wes studies the Banjo.

Archie, is our wood burning kiln. He has unique powers because the wood we use is infused with salt from the ocean. We designed and built “Archie”, with the help of our dear friend, Dan Finch, along with the help of several other “wood fire”,friends.
